A super celebration

We all had a lovely time on Friday an man comments were made about how well Cygnus class behaved throughout lunch. We sang to our visitors, watched the Morris dancing and listened to the adults singing. It was almost like last night at the proms.
There was a busy day of planting with Mrs affix on Thursday. The courgettes and peas will eventually be used in school lunches.
I'm afraid I can't say when we will be swimming as I believe the heater might be broken. I will let you know in advance. To make it easier when we do can I remind everyone that your child will need a swim hat (red if there are medical needs), towel, easy to wear shoes for between he classroom and swimming pool. Please support your child in putting their own cap on although we will help girls with long hair tuck it up. Talcum powder makes it easier to put the caps on. There must be no jewellery or plasters.

We are reinforcing our behaviour support system as a few children are starting to make poor choices with other children or choosing not to listen to certain adults. In many cases where unkind hands have been used, a blue letter will be sent home to let you know what has happened and this will have been shared with Mrs Fox. The children in these situations may not have progressed through the thumbs down or look system as unkind hands affect other children. If a blue letter is sent home please talk to your child about the choices they have made. Children may well try to blame others but in most if not all cases we will have explored further to get everyone's perception.

Finally if children are being collected by a different adult that isn't known to school or by a friends parent please can you inform the office. We can only release children to the adults that we have been asked to. If your child goes to an after school club let the office know if they are being collected by a friends parent. Thank you

Summer is here?

We have had a super day. In RE we learned a story from the Sikh religion about a crocodile and a priest. The crocodile prayed to God everyday but the priest was not very kind about this and said the crocodile was wasting his time as God only listened to people. The crocodile turned to the priest and said that he should not be judged as God makes everyone equal and the priest should not be making him feel less special especially when he prayed to God. As a class we then talked about how people made us feel when they continually told us hat we are not good enough. Children have some amazing thoughts about philosophy of ideas. We then started our handprint crocodiles but I will share these later once finished.
Then there were our new playground toys....
Nothing like empty boxes to keep children entertained.
Popping the bubble wrap- we all love doing this
Work continued on the bug hotel
Two more houses. Please do come in tomorrow morning to see them all.
Finally some catch up ones from last week.
The mud kitchen has changed positions.
Worm hunting
Outdoor art
See I really do try to insist on aprons.
 See you tomorrow.
