Some wonderful learning

The girls made Mrs Griffin an ice cream.
Someone borrowed my iPad to take lots of different photos.
Still enjoying the picnic.
In PE we were jumping off apparatus and remembering to bend our knees. We also had to think about balancing and stretching.
Elena is already an amazing gymnast.
Telling the time. Some of us could even do half past.
Our star of the week. Jenson really does try with everything he does and keeps going when he finds it difficult. This quality of resilience is one of my favourites as it is this that makes us the best learners.

There is an Easter bonnet/ hat parade on Thursday morning. I saw a few people down at Poundland on Saturday so I can't wait to see the results.

Some practical maths

Cygnus class have been doing some weighing and using the language of weight such as heavy/ light, heavier and lighter. We even talked about balancing the scales. We made predictions about which objects might weigh the most.
It's smiling Luke again.

Charlie discovered that our snack apples weigh different amounts. I wonder which one he chose?
A very relaxed approach.
Loving the practical maths.
Not sure what weighs more than the whale.
Baking is always a good way of developing this language.
Painting our reflection tree on the window.
The reflection area is a place we can visit to think about what has happened in our learning or as a result of something happening to us. It is an area of calm.

This week we are making some junk models out of boxes and yogurt tubs. If you would like to recycle your boxes they would be appreciated. Who knows what creations you will soon be having at home.

If you have any old bricks we would really appreciate them as we are hoping to develop a builders yard in the outside area.
Thank you

Book Day

What an exciting day we have had. The children looked amazing and really enjoyed talking about their favourite books. We even went into the garden with Mrs Dix.
Hot chocolate and bedtime stories.
I wonder who this is?

Keep the extreme reading photos coming in.
Just as well no one was watching this! The chair is great and Scarlet giggled when she saw this.
The rest of the photos will appear in assembly tomorrow. Look forward to seeing you.
